Scope of Work

McCarthy Concrete served as the primary structural subcontractor for Waterside Builders to construct a beautiful shoreline multi-level apartment / condo complex in the heart of downtown Naples, Florida. The building footprint was approximately 10,000 square feet and included underground parking at street level, two levels of apartments, and a concrete roof. This project presented several inherent challenges. The project’s aggressive schedule required precise planning with (3) levels of post tension, shored and re-shored slabs on a project property boundary equal to the building footprint. McCarthy Concrete self-performed all excavation while controlling ground water, installed all foundations, concrete columns and shear walls, and shored post tension slabs, reinforcement, and masonry for the entire project.

Project Details

30,000 square feet of superstructure inclusive of (1) level of underground parking, (2) levels of living space, and a concrete roof overlooking the shoreline. Each level was comprised of approximately 50 concrete columns, 200 linear feet of concrete shear wall, 10,000 square feet of 9” thick post tension slab, and upwards of 2000 linear feet of masonry wall. The project was complete on time within the (7) month construction schedule with a 24-man crew.
