Scope of Work

The Field Corner project was a 920,000 square foot warehouse project that consisted of two buildings of heavy industrial slab construction with tilt up concrete wall panels for the exterior structure. McCarthy performed the excavation for all foundations and the fine grading of all concrete slabs (interior and exterior), as well as the installation of all concrete foundations, slabs, pavement, and tilt wall panels. This project was so large and the schedule so demanding that an on-site concrete plant had to be erected so that the supply demands could be met. The overall schedule from start to substantial completion took eight months starting in January 2023.

Project Details

920,000 square feet of high-quality warehouse slab on grade to a flatness standard of (FF 65 / FL 45). The project utilized 288 cast tilt wall panels for the building shell and over 4,000 cubic yards of concrete foundations. 250,000 square feet of industrial concrete pavement, 8 site retaining walls, and a cast in place pump house wrapped this project up. The project required 640 tons of reinforcement steel, 43,000 yards of concrete, and over 200,000 linear feet of slab load plate dowels.
